Day 5 Nacimiento - Abla Tuesday, 30/04/2019 15,5 kms 250 m height difference = + 2.5 kms effort = 18 kms 5 hours 45 min of which 3 pauses, 15, 15 and 30 min. Off at 7.45 am after breakfast in our bar. Another beautifully cool and sunny morning. A long time on the road past an abandoned village on a hillside and ruins of farmhouses along the road. And again we arrive in the dry river bed - less easy to walk than the previous stretches. The camino leaves the river bed to take us into the village Doña Maria where we find a bar which gives me a welcome rest. The owner of the bar serves our drinks with a “bitteschön” and we discover that he was born in Essen, Germany, came to Spain when he was 9 years old, went back to Germany to work for 8 years, and is settled for good now in Spain... Back to the river bed which becomes more difficult to walk, more pebbly, and almost imperceptibly...
